One of the things we love about our farm is being able to share it with other people. The British countryside is simply beautiful and has so much to offer, much of which is present on our farm.

With our latest property, Kingfisher Wagons, we really wanted our guests to be able to connect with nature and this desire underpinned the entire design and build process. However, we also understand that just because you like the great outdoors it doesn’t mean you want to forgo luxury so our aim with this property was to build something which combined enjoyment of nature with premium living.

Kingfisher Wagons does just that. Inside there are two fantastic double beds with super comfortable mattresses and cozy bedding make the wagons a great place to stay. An inside seating area provides somewhere to relax in comfort while the kitchen and shower room have all the mod cons. Guests are kept warm with a wood burning stove and radiator. With our properties being right in the middle of the countryside, even on the warmest days of the year the night times can be a little chilly and so we have kitted out the wagons with a plethora of blankets, bedding and hot water bottles to keep you nice and snug. We also recommend you bring lots of warm clothes just in case it’s a particularly chilly night!

It is outside on the terrace that this property really comes into its own. A freestanding copper bathtub allows guests to have a relaxing soak while looking out over the lake and the fields. Make sure you keep your eyes open for our infamous Kingfisher, as well as the resident barn owl, deers, foxes and badgers. For Al Fresco cooking and dining we have installed an outside kitchen, complete with a BBQ and pizza oven. Start your day with a cooked breakfast on the terrace or wile away the evenings with a home cooked pizza or a BBQ feast. Once you’ve enjoyed some fantastic food, why not finish off your feast with marshmallows cooked over the fire pit?

From the terrace of Kingfisher Wagons, you really do have nature at your fingertips. Watch bats swoop to the water to hunt for food at dusk. The lake provides a great spot for wild swimming or a spot of fishing and the numerous bridleways and footpaths which cut across the farm allow our guests to explore the wider countryside with ease. Look out for the wide range of berries, flowers and wild garlic in the hedgerows of the farm – you are welcome to help yourself to anything growing in the wild – it is here to be shared.  In addition to numerous species of wild animals, our farm is also home to many types of farm animals including Highland Cattle, chickens, donkeys and pigs. They all have their unique personalities and like to say hi to our guests. So if you are looking for a holiday home that combines nature with luxury, Kingfisher might be the perfect holiday stay for you.
